I became interested in psychology and counselling after I left, and I am finally working towards that, with the ultimate goal of getting a batchelors degree - I wasn't allowed to go on to university after leaving school so it's still my goal to get a degree, no matter how long it takes.

How many have gotten interested in Human Services, Charity, Social Justice, Social Work and the like after awakening to Watchtower aberrance?
by Fernando inwhilst under watchtower influence i had little interest or awareness in these areas.. now they have become a passion.. i wonder if it has something to do with the "cult identity or self" versus the "authentic identity or self" as outlined by steven hassan in the "interacting with dual identities" chapter of his book "releasing the bonds - empowering people to think for themselves".. who has had a similar experience and/or change of career related to unplugging from the watchtower?.
or a story to tell?.

Yep! I love it! It's good for a laugh but as you say, the music has been getting better so it's worth watching for the musical (and camp) content!

One more thing off my bucket list!
by Bobbi inhi everyone, it's been a long time since i posted on here(other than commenting on exsisting posts) and wanted to share something with all of you.. yesterday i donated blood for the first time.
lightning did not strike me, i did not have a car accident on the way home and the blood committee was not waiting outside for me.. i have been researching blood donation for a couple of years, but never worked up the nerve to actually do it.
the canadian blood services website is very informative and the woman i talked to when booking the appointment was very nice as well.. so, as i am driving to the appointment, i can feel my heart racing and my blood pressure going up.

Yaye for you!
Donating blood is something I'm yet to do. Got nothing against it, it's just that I'm a procrastinator!

Visit from anointed
by wezz inso tonight i get to be graced by the presence of one of the anointed.
last time he visited to help me i told him that i have a problem with the 1914 date.
now obviously every single aspect of this date is wrong, but i started off by asking how come they end it in 537 instead of 539, when the king of babylon obviously received his punishment in 539, as foretold by jeremiah.

At least you know now through experience that it's a waste of time.

They Are an Armageddon Family
by OnTheWayOut inthis is just my musing.
there's no serious controversy in my musings, just ramblings.
i suppose in 30 to 40 years (or less), sally and her brother may be selling the property on the beach at the end of the paved road, so that whatever remains of their family will have a few more million dollars and will be able to pioneer.

MTM Experiences
by Momma-Tossed-Me inif witnesses could only feel the freedom to speak their minds, what would they say?.
well, being fully free from the org via my ex-communication really allows me to engage in conversations with members who allow me to do so.. what i have found interesting in every conversation is this common phrase, "you know (looking down their nose at me) the truth.
you know that the information is correct so imperfect organization or not this is jehovah's chosen organization.

Good points.
But what does "MTM" mean?
Don't worry, I worked it out.

My son was murdered today
by truman ini have been on this site daily, almost from its beginning, since i left the jws in 2001, but i have been more of a reader than a poster, as you can see from my post count.
i know few here know me, although i know many of you through reading your posts.
maybe it is not right to ask for support, when i generally stay quietly in the background of this forum, but i want only to speak a human misery of the deepest kind.

Let yourself grieve, it's better than keeping it in.
